About
Greetings!
My name is Etan. To read a brief summary about me and my work continue on below.
To see what I am doing now see my “now page”.
To see more about all the projects I have worked on please see my “projects” page.
I am currently pursuing an MFA through the Bennington Writing Seminars and you can see some of my writing which has been published here.
Most recently before that, I started Wholesale In a Box, a software and coaching company built to support maker businesses with my wife Emily Kerr-Finell. My favorite projects share the common thread of human centered design, digging into the depth of a problem, learning about the people struggling with it and coming out on the other side with a business. I love to do this quickly, from start to prototype within 2-8 weeks and have started three companies, Wholesale In a Box, The Wild Easy and Whole Delivery.
Previously I have worked as an Educational Coach supporting students at Flatiron School in becoming software engineers, at the Impact Hub to launch a coworking space, directed operations for StartingBloc and The Urban Farm Company, worked as an executive assistant at Delivering Happiness and was the head Chef at the inaugural Unreasonable Institute/Uncharted.
When I am not working I love to travel and have spent several years out of the US, one year in Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Syria, one year in India and Nepal, one year in Mexico and most recently 6 months in Puerto Rico at Parallel 18. My wife Emily and I live in Kingston New York about 2 hours north of New York City.
Thank you for coming by!
