The Reading Room

Closed now, the Reading Room was an app I launched to share the single best thing you read each day on the internet. A reincarnation of this project is here

Private Coaching

I have worked with several private coaching clients previously. Though I am no longer accepting new clients, feel free to reach out and I may be able to connect you to someone who can help.

Flatiron School

While an Coach at Flatiron School. I had the pleasure of working with an outstanding team of coaches and instructors. I coached over 300 students 1:1 during my time there. The students at Flatiron are truly inspiring people who have chosen to dedicate themselves to changing the trajectory of their lives—which, many of them will tell you, is no small feat. Their stories and efforts were a marvel to see day in and day out, and I feel so honored to have worked with them.

Clearing Away the Small Stuff

A study of web and mobile shops and design agencies with the goal of creating a solution for their administrative tasks.

Housing Kingston

A research project exploring ways to help expand affordable housing, particularly by using existing housing stock in Kingston, NY.

The Wild Easy

Started with a question: How might we make women’s experience of clothes-shopping less miserable? We ended up with a pop-up online retailer. Made with Emily Kerr-Finell.

Whole Delivery

Explored the problem of logistics support for small businesses in Philadelphia—asking, how might we support artisan food producers with their deliveries?

The Teach Tour

Research to uncover India’s obstacles to childhood education. I spent several months with Shabnam Aggarwal traveling across India to speak with parents, students, teachers, and service providers on the ground, allowing us to get a fuller picture of the low-cost private educational system.

StartingBloc

Helped lead this global fellowship for social impact leaders.

Delivering Happiness

Logistics and operational support to the Delivering Happiness team which is the sister consulting company of Zappos and CEO Jenn Lim.

Parallel 18

Through Wholesale In a Box, we were chosen to receive $40k in equity-free funding, and six months of coworking space, mentorship, and an incredible community of international entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico.

Impact Hub – PHL

Transitioned members to a 28,000 sq. ft. space with new online and in-person systems.

The Language School – Denver

I worked with several classes of students from beginner through advanced. The instruction was in person and primarily conversational. I helped create a space where students felt free to discuss confusing aspects of the English language that came up in their day-to-day lives—at work, and in conversations with their children’s teachers at school. One of my main goals there was to help students gain greater confidence in their ability.

The Urban Farm Co.

A dynamic, early-stage startup. We overhauled installation processes, hiring, and compensation; built an innovative micro-farming initiative in low-income communities in Denver; and developed a new framework for more effective pricing using add-ons and tiers.

Uncharted (formerly The Unreasonable Institute)

Chef for the first cohort in 2010 for The Unreasonable Institute. Among 25 international fellows who were away from home for months, I designed a menu representing the cuisine from all 14 of our fellows’ countries, cooking three meals a day for 55 people.
